Subsequent notification was sent advising that this joint media conference was “cancelled.”

Ramsey-Moore: I’m vindicated

FOLLOWING revelations in Wednesday’s edition of Newsday that Nigerian businessman, Chief Bowie S. Bowei, pulled out of a pan venture with Pan Trinbago in frustration last week, Beverly Ramsey-Moore, who together with Keith Simpson resigned from the executive committee of the pan organisation three months ago, told Newsday yesterday that she feels vindicated.
“Based on what has come out in the Newsday, I believe president Keith Diaz and the two other directors representing Pan Trinbago in the fallen deal, namely Secretary Richard Forteau and Assistant Trustee Allan “Pablo” Augustus should all resign immediately.
“Today I feel vindicated because people behaved as though I was an enemy of Pan Trinbago when I advised them that things must be done in a manner where good governance must be the hallmark of any organisation.”
Africa Trinidad and Tobago Steelpan Development Company (ATTSDC), a limited liability company incorporated, set up with a vision to promote and expand the steelpan art form across the African Continent with Pan Trinbago with 35 percent shares, contributing toward the technical support of the Nigerian-based company has been a non starter, Bowei (a 45 percent shareholder) complained that Daniel Lambert of FCL Communications Ltd, never met his financial obligation to be a 20 percent shareholder and as such, he (Bowei) had been responsible for all expenses to facilitate a loan and other administrative expenses of the company.
He wrote to Diaz: “As CEO, I regret to inform you that the company is at a standstill at this time because Lambert has not paid up, and work including the facelift of the office we agreed to carry out cannot be done.
“I suggest you use your office to request that Daniel pays up his dues or things will start going wrong. I have laboured for over ten years to see this dream come true and will not allow anyone to stand in my way.”
Meanwhile, when contacted on Wednesday Diaz told Newsday: “I cannot speak to you right now, I am in a meeting.” Asked what time to call back, Diaz hung up the phone.
A few minutes later, a more composed Diaz called back saying: “Hello, this is Keith Diaz here. I have no comment to make on the Newsday article” before hanging up.

Thank God! PanTrinbago may have caused a diplomatic blurr and deficit had this conference been conducted.
Where is the Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism - who was referred to as the Minister of Culture while being interviewed on TV this morning - and Caricom's Cultural Ambassador in this matter? Since the PP governmant, via the Minister of Planning, has said that his government wants to turn panyards into music schools, it appears that pan may have lost its premier place in T&T's Multicultural / Cultural make up.
I am so ashamed of the leadership of Pantrinbago. What is smart man Diaz trying to draw the High Commissioner into, instead he should be apologising to the honourable gentleman for misleading him. I followed with interest all that have been taking place from the begining and i knew that any thing that involved FCL and Daniel Lambert would eventually fail. SORRY chief Bowei consider this as lessons learnt.
