Innovative steel drummer Jonathan Scales has put together an exciting all-star lineup for his newest Fourchestra tour, backed by Prince bassist MonoNeon, Snarky Puppy drummer Robert “Sput” Searight and former Nth Power percussionist Weedie Braimah. The group will be touring through November, kicking off a seven-show run through the Southeast for some great music.
But that’s not all in the world of Fourchestra! The band was chosen out of 300 finalists to represent the U.S. as musical ambassadors through Asia. The U.S. Department of State chose the group to perform in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia in early 2017, bringing their virtuosic and free-flowing music all across the world. With such a fluid lineup for the Fourchestra, there’s no telling what will happen, but it’s all backed by the remarkable compositions and avant garde improvisation for which Scales is known.
You can see the all-star November tour schedule posted below! Don’t miss out.

Tell me about it Wayne!!! This world real TOPSY TURVY. Andy Narell represented the instrument Internationally from the NINETIES and now Jonathan Scales has taken over.
Where are the TRINI superstars and virtuosos and phenoms? I have been arguing with TRINIS over this for decades telling them that it takes a WHOLE LOT MORE than acting like an acrobat on a pan to make that International Scene.
But they always killing me with the "WE SO TALENTED" line and the self praise -- yet NO BIG STAGE!!!
A steel pan player as an American musical ambassador.
You see how this world is twisted.
