Gregory Lindsay you are losing credibility my brother. You cannot come on a global forum and proclaim that Nobody Won, considering the ease of access, and availability of information in this ICT age, Forteau won.
At the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of Pan Trinbago at CWU headquarters on Tuesday, the membership voted out the central executive committee and installed a caretaker committee.
Member Gregory Lindsay told Newsday on Tuesday night: “That meeting tonight, with quorum intact, is the supreme legislative and judicial body of the association. So that decision stands regardless, as it is the will of the membership.”
However former secretary Richard Forteau said: “The meeting was unconstitutional, so the executive of Pan Trinbago is in place and functioning as normal.”
Adamant that the petition did not have the required number of signatures to trigger the EGM, adding that there were duplications on the listing. Forteau thundered: “If you want to ask about membership of Pan Trinbago, ask the secretary,” before presenting a document listing some 298 bands that he said were the registered members of Pan Trinbago.
PAN Trinbago and its central executive members are resisting a move to oust them from office and have taken its former president Keith Diaz to court.
The executive members say, "...the March 27 meeting was unconstitutional and Diaz was informed of this. They also claim a petition calling for an extraordinary meeting and which resolved to establish the interim executive, did not meet the constitutionally required quorum of 60 per cent of the membership."
Forteau and the others say the resolutions and decisions taken at the meeting are illegal and of no effect.
JUSTICE Ronnie Boodoosingh has granted an injunction to PanTrinbago’s embattled central executive, restraining its outgoing president Keith Diaz or the purported caretaker committee from exercising any of their functions.
In his 14-page decision, Boodoosingh said the March meeting was not recognised under the pan body’s constitution.
Therefore I conclude that Forteau was successful with his motion, and won quite easily, without a fight, not dissimilar to Abercromby's defeat of Chacon, who was consequently banished for life from the royal domain, and died in exile.
Forteau won Gregory!
The questions I would like to put to the principals of The CIP are;
Did Mr. Diaz not tender his resignation as the duly elected president of Pan Trinbago?
Was Mr. Diaz's resignation accepted and confirmed?
Do you still recognize Mr. Diaz as the president of Pan Trinbago?
Nobody won. The learned judge struck out Forteau and his cabal as claimants. They are still stuck with Diaz AS de facto President until early elections.Forteau now has more headache. He's afraid to face the membership. He never wanted an early election.The Coup Leader he is still is directly answerable to the President and CEO.....Talk done
Forteau takes the membership information and take it eternal in cottage meetings nationwide; come and bad talking me and my band in de public domain eh,Ah waiting for the detractors and naysayers.....talk nah! Ah waiting patiently. Milton Wire Austin Michael Joseph ah waiting for your diatribe of dribble as PRO on your Pyrrhic victory...yet again..
The membership won. It's on to early elections. That was the mandate of the membership......... Claude..the Supreme High Court reigns over any Constitution or Articles of Association anywhere in this Republic....come nah man...Has California moved to the Moon??
