Castries, St. Lucia, W.I. - Junior pan groups from across the island will converge on the grounds of the National Cultural Centre on Sunday for the Junior Panorama. The event which is part of the ongoing National Arts Festival will feature eight groups.
Jimmy Clavier, Marketing Officer at the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) says the participants in Sunday’s programme are products of an ongoing UNESCO Schools’ Pan Project being undertaken in collaboration with the CDF.

Yes the young people are playing pan this weekend, But my wish is to
have regular maybe monthly events for the youth around the Caribbean
which would allow them to compete with one another playing pan. This
would promote the culture and help bring pan back into the arena of
carnival where it is sooo absent.
With the above we all also see young people moving away from the street and
find a place to burn energy. At the same time music lesson can be taught which will enable them to read music.
What do you think?????????????????
