New York, USA - Meet Kadeem Alleyne - this 19 year-old Berklee College of Music student is perched to add his name to the growing list of under-thirty steelpan musicians who have expanded their outlook and focus to incorporate multiple aspects of the music performance and entertainment industry. He is one of a fresh and young group of devoted, gifted, intelligent and forward-thinking steelpan musicians all over the globe who have already begun to leave an indelible mark on the present and future of the steelpan instrument, music genre and culture.     I do believe that live pan should be used when incorporating, pan in music..But in certain cases due to time, a synthesizer is used, my first recording of Breakfast Party was with live pan but when I got to the studio, I couldn't use live pan, due to the fact that I was putting myself under deadlines, when coming to the release date, but in my future projects which I'm working on now, I do use live pan and I make it a responsibility to uphold the instrument in my projects that use such

    You and all the other "Kadeems" are the future of the pan world. Keep your focus on studies, the breakfast Parties and other perks will follow later. I have not heard you play the pan, but your "Breakfast Party" rendition tells me that you may be leaning towards a career in soca. I always question why synthesizers are used instead of the PAN,
    and have been told that it is a matter of cost. Since you are a pannist, writer and singer; is this the same for you? Your tune should make it on the airwaves for carnival. Congratulations, I will be in NY at Panorama, with the hopes of meeting you.
