A long-running festival will bring members of Kitchener-Waterloo's many diverse communities together to celebrate African and Caribbean culture this weekend.

Now in its 14th year, the annual LINK Picnic Festival is a two-day showcase of music, art, games and food.

From drum circles to hair braiding to a steel pan workshop — yes, they'll actually be teaching the instrument this year — the festival looks to both connect and showcase local African and Caribbean communities
