“When Steel Talks” field technicians and other staffers in Long Island to record the Adlib Steel Orchestra before the 2015 New York Panorama.
Each year, New York Panorama, the highly popular musical event of the West Indian American Day Carnival, attracts multitudes to the Brooklyn Museum grounds for the one of the preeminent steelpan competitions in America.
And the cleverly named When Steel Talks website is ever present to chronicle the event, which is traditionally held the Saturday night before the Caribbean carnival parade along Brooklyn's Eastern Parkway.
To many in the international steel drum community, the online portal is the ultimate source of all things pan on the planet.
