Like their name implies, this part of the tale was set in motion long ago and foretold by the stars. And one thing is for sure, like an exploding star, we all saw them coming.

When Supernovas Steel Orchestra takes the stage at the 2016 Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama finals to meet their destiny, they will be carrying the hopes and dreams of not only a community, but that of supporters from all over the world. Armed with the massive talent of their players and a steadfast commitment to hard work, sacrifice and excellence by all involved - the success of the franchise has been phenomenal.
This year the Supernovas have made the improbable transition from the small steel orchestra category to the prestigious large orchestra (120 players) category in just a few short years. Riding the streak of a very successful showing in the recent International Panorama where they placed 2nd in a field of twenty three other competing orchestras from all over the world - Supernovas intends to successfully execute the plans and vision of their CEO and musical director Amrit Samaroo.

BTW guys ,watching the video (and other Supernova videos) on a large screen TV , one cannot help but notice the care they take in promoting their band on the internet via their videos.

Unlike the steelband parent organization , they seem to appreciate the power of the internet in promoting their band and art-form.

I like and admire what this 'country' band is doing and the direction and course they are setting. It strikes me as groundbreaking!
The crispness of their audio and the clarity (HD?) of their video is a reflection of this band's vision and mission. Winning the 2016 title their focus. And man! –– No sweeter reward!
Doctor deLight: One place better in the finals than the semi-finals is beyond the boundary of imagination of the judges. My imagination could barely stretch this country band into 3rd place on finals night. The HEADLINES have already been published: PHASE II WINS PANORAMA!!!
Only thing left –– is to cuss up the judges. :-)
Glenroy you’ve said it, these guys are way, way ahead of the game. They had there semis performance ‘professionally’ produced and have it in rotation 24/7 on (WWW) world-wide web.
Like you inferred nothing beats their performances on a home theater system. What a great lobbying effort to win the hearts and minds of the People.
The bar has been set, can they stay consistent, can other bands follow their LEAD?

Unfortuately, The idea of spending a few dollars "seed money" to promote our culture and art-forms seem an alien concept to many.
