Littlehampton Steelband Festival on Saturday 30th April
United Kingdom - The Littlehampton Academy Steelbands will be hosting the first Littlehampton Steelband Festival. Five guest bands travelling as far a Tyneside will be treating audiences to a musical spectacular with a Caribbean flavour. Rachel Hayward and Jenny Gilberg, former British steelpan soloist champions will be delighting everyone with their solo performances plus ‘Euphoria' a new Brighton based steelband will be giving its first ever public performance. Littlehampton steelbands will be well represented with five steelbands from TLA and Connaught Junior School. “The will be a fantastic opportunity for the local community to experience the highest quality music making from world class musicians. Brent Holder, a former world champion steelpan soloist will be working with TLA steelbands during the morning of the festival as well a performing with his steelband in the afternoon. It's not every day you get the opportunity to learn from a world champion!"
