There were 307 votes cast in the RACE FOR PRESIDENT of PAN TRINBAGO!!!
This means that a minimum of 154 BANDS voted in the ELECTION. The live broadcasters said 170 bands (at one point) as they noted that a number of bands sent only ONE delegate.
BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE was the choice of at least 59 bands -- but, again, when you factor in split delegates in some bands and single delegates from others ... she could have ended up with support from as much as 77 bands, which is half the TOTAL NUMBER OF BANDS.
So the support for her was MIND BOGGLING!!!
The TOP THREE CANDIDATES got 69% of the votes but the second and third candidates combined for 96 votes compared to BEVERLEY'S total of 117. The rest of the field came in with a combined 94 votes.
All the CANDIDATES promised TRANSPARENCY. So I think that the TRANSPARENCY could begin with the EBC/PAN TRINBAGO releasing a FULL BREAK DOWN of the 307 votes, filling in some of the gaps that I just speculated upon.
And, again, in the interest of TRANSPARENCY the PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER OF PAN TRINBAGO should produce a PUBLIC REPORT on the BANK ACCOUNTS left for them by the Previous Executive and the amount of money that was left in each account.That should be followed by a DEBT STATEMENT.
I am expecting to see a PRESS CONFERENCE from BEVERLEY this week, outlining her plans to PAY THE PAN PLAYERS in the VERY NEAR future and also giving us some hint as to her IMMEDIATE PLANS for THE ORGANIZATION.
Clearly, with the CAMPAIGN she ran and the NUMBERS she racked up -- her team was quite sure that they were GOING TO WIN. So she should have had this first week all mapped out with the primary intent of displaying her LEADERSHIP STYLE and SKILL to THE PUBLIC by the end of WEEK ONE!!!
I think that KEITH SIMPSON and DENISE HERNANDEZ and MARCUS ASH and SANDRA AWAI provide a GOOD CORE to start getting things done!!!
The STEELBANDS came out in LARGE NUMBERS to support BEVERLEY, now she has to show HER LEADERSHIP SKILLS and DELIVER FOR THEM!!!
