The new chairman of the National Carnival Commission (NCC) is Lorraine Pouchet.
Pouchet replaces former chairman Allison Demas, who opted not to renew her contract last month.
Pouchet is a deputy political leader of the Congress of the People (COP) and also served as chairman of the Diego Martin Central constituency of the COP for many years and has been active and played a leading role at several levels of the COP in a range of its activities.
