Carrying on the tradition of Dr. Pat Bishop, the Lydian Steel Ensemble received critical acclaim for their performance of the Overture in A Minor by Telemann!

Highlights from 'Christmas - A Season of Love'
The Overture in A Minor, by Telemann!
By our critically acclaimed Lydian Steel Ensemble!

In 1995, The Lydians made world history as it was the first time the steel pan instrument was ever featured in a full length opera. All the players read music and played with sensitivity and dedication to the score. From that moment on, the Lydian Steel has been a prominent feature of the Lydians and several noteworthy pan players have been members and continue to support and return to play.

Baroque period music takes particularly well to this Ensemble's style of playing - a testimony of the vision, care and diligence of former Musical Conductor, Dr. Pat Bishop.
