Robert 'Miguel' GonzalesGlobal -  As the 2012 Carnival waxes warm the steelband fraternity has lost yet another stalwart.

Robert “Miguel” Gonzales, the captain of Marsicans Steel Orchestra of D’arceuil Lane, Cocoa, Mausica Old Road, Arima, died around 3.00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Gonzales, 65, was the liaison officer of Pan Trinbago Eastern Region from 1998, retiring last year.

He had been the captain of Marsicans Steel Orchestra for the past 12 years.
