It is expected to be a “pan perfect weekend” when Massy Pan Pun De Sand comes off at Brandon’s Beach on July 16.

Massy Barbados Limited has reaffirmed their commitment to the event and the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) for the 13th year with a $60,000 sponsorship injection.

The two partners for the event held a press briefing on Friday afternoon at Massy headquarters in Warrens for the cheque presentation and updates on the events.

Director of Sales & Marketing of Massy, Mark Doherty, said the event has led to the growing appreciation among Barbadians for steel pan music, which he noted has resulted in the NCF adding more steel pan events to the Crop Over Calendar. Doherty also noted pan events such as Pan Pun De Sand, Pan Fusion and Pan around De Town, continues to give local pan players much exposure and experience.
