Mixing up all of the categories for finals.

Someone Stated about mixing up all the bands for finals.

It sounds as a great idea having a small medium large band play or they they pull numbers and play in that order. If that was to be done do we think that will work as for as judging, and solving the problem where people will not have to wait for seeing the large bands play last.

  • The single pan and small conventional finals in Skiner Park, San Fernando, on Thursday, Feb. 27 is more steel heaven.

  • It's all well and good to have one National Panorama final, however that only adds to the problem of time i.e duration of the show. You are talking about 30 bands at 8 mins each(playing time). That's 4 hours. When you add the time it takes a band to get on/off stage you add another 6 hours. Even if you had a stage which could accommodate more than one band.in order to minimize getting on/off stage, you're still left with 4 hours of sitting on the world's most uncomfortable seats!

  • Patrick u and D someone needs to stay of D RUM.
    • Hello gavin adams, I am still trying to figure out how can Silver Stars win medium band champion, moved up to large band category, and won. And no today one sees it fit to join the medium and large category together. I believe trinis get confused with size of band and quality of the music a band produces. gavin adams can you tell me what is the difference in number of pans, say, minimum number of pans to qualify for LARGE BAND,and maximum number of pans to be considered MEDIUM BAND?

  • Is just another way of saying have one national panorama competition. I always believe this is the only way to have a true champion. This is my view of it, not playing first or last as solving the problem.
