NCC chairman: 'My best is not good enough'

Contrary to reports circulating, National Carnival Commission (NCC) chairman Kenny De Silva has not resigned.

Speaking to CNC3, De Silva said that he agrees with an editorial in a newspaper which called on him to resign after being blamed for mishaps at the Dimache Gras show on Carnival Sunday.

However, he says he won't be bowing out just yet.

He adds that as head of the organising body, he takes responsibility for everything related to Carnival events and activities.

De Silva admits that this will be his last Carnival.

However, he says a decision about when he will resign will be made after the Pan Trinbago court case is resolved.

The case goes back to court on April 27th.
