New York Pan Pioneer Milton Gabriel has passed

Brooklyn, New York - The Big Apple again took the lead, by honoring its central steelpan music figures in the development of Pan in New York, as the Trinidad & Tobago Folk Arts Institute hosted a special awards ceremony.

  • May he rest in peace. Truly had it going on back in the days along with Rudolf King. I remember when his band use to play on week ends down in Lennie Applewhites basement. (Note) Applewhite was the first Trinidadian to start a car service in Brooklyn. Aka: Curly, aka: Tahzann
