New York, USA - It has come to the attention of When Steel Talks (WST) that the management of the New York Steelband community has agreed to participate in the 2017 Panorama competition without being fully paid their 2016 prize money. Instead, a very paltry portion of the money owed has been “promised.”
Further more, NO discussion of the timetable for payment for their 2017 prizes has taken place. In addition there has been no talk of monetary compensation for the delay in payment for 2016; no talk of reimbursement for the monetary loss in interest, had that money been in the account of the steel orchestras.

I told my 2 sons they not playing for no band they can go but leave my car and the pans I buy home! find away to get to and from practice, I not staying up late every night to pick them up like an uber driver and they not getting no money cause the owners saying they aint get pay yet
This time next year we will be dealing with the same problems, it's a viscous cycle that we just cannot get pass.
Oh yes there is C H, the cycle has to be completed before any change can be implemented, Example; our Planet Earth has to revolve from West to East, to complete the day, not what THEY, brain wash us to believe that the Sun rises in the East, and set's in the West,this is pure B/// S///, because the SUN, DO NOT MOVE, the Planet DOES, the SUN is the center of the Solar System, where everything REVOLVES, if this Planet stop's moving , we won't be alive therefore; this "Viscous Cycle" you mentioned WILL PASS ALSO, remember the Platter;s song, "It's Just a Matter of Time"....

I gather that New York panist are from Trinidad and not Grenada. The same thing would have happened if it was in Trinidad.This takes my memory back to 1979 when it was agreed to boycott the panorama after the prelims because of a refusal to increase the appearance fee and a group of sponsored bands attempted to bring off the panorama behind the executive's back at a meeting held at the West India club.
