Pan Trinbago on Tuesday held its annual prize distribution and awards ceremony at the Naparima Bowl, San Fernando. Winners in the National Steelband Music Festival — Pan is Beautiful XII held last October along with this year’s Panorama winners collected their prizes while the organisation presented several awards to pan pioneers, tuners, youths and women in steel.

In his address Pan Trinbago vice president, Byron Serrette lamented the fact that the organisation still did not receive any money from the Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism for the music festival as promised.

“We shall be paying money for the festival in spite of the fact that we have not yet received one cent for the event from the Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism, our line ministry. We ran the event on the unwritten promise of the honourable minister and even though we have provided every document they have asked for, we are still without the funds.”
