Trinidad Newsday
Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the Fire Service were out in full force at the Queen’s Park Savannah for Panorama yesterday , with many of them saying they were unaware of any plans to boycott the competition today or in the future.
On Thursday, President of the Police Service Social and Welfare Association Insp Anand Ramesar declared there would be no police presence at any of the Panorama semi-finals or major Carnival events if Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar did not intervene to speed up the current salary negotiations’ process with the Chief Personnel Officer.
However, yesterday at the Panorama Single Pan and Small Band semi-finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, several officers, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Sunday Newsday they were unaware of any protests.

Not all of them wanted to be there. There was a police sergeant ( in uniform) at corner close to NAPA. I stopped to ask a question and he shouts :Sir, I am a police officer" Duh! I thought he was a vagrant or maybe an idiot.
Never let anyone hold you to ransom.
