I arrived in UK in 1960 and returned to Trini in 1972, after spending 10 1/2 years in the RAF. Pan in UK has indeed come a long way from those dark days, thanks to people like Rachel and countless others to dedicate time energy , financial and moral support.
May I suggest that we take it a step further. By this I mean, that winners in the various categories of pan competitions be awarded as a prize a trip to the "big yard" to participate either as guests or competitors. I would like to see bands from all over the world participate in our competitions. This would be great for pan.
We should start with the schools' bands
