Pan evil prospers when good pan men do nothing
We take this opportunity to commend the brave men and women in the eastern region who took charge of their regional meeting, made a motion and passed a resolution to not speak about Panorama 2018 until 2016 and 2017 debts are paid. It was reported that the meeting took an unusual turn when the members decided instead to talk about Pan Trinbago’s present state. The meeting ended with an almost unanimous decision that Mr. Diaz and his band of merry men must go. This recent development gives inspiration to the pan community and the majority of the nation as well.
Still however, there are band leaders that, for fear of victimisation, are reluctant to sign the petition although they want this present executive gone. We, the Concerned Individuals for Pan (CIP), encourage you to stay strong as we empathize with you because we understand. We know of persons experiencing victimization by the president of Pan Trinbago. An officer elected by the membership to serve and protect pan people’s interests, was locked out of a meeting because he disagreed with the president about attending a Pan Players United Movement meeting lead by Dane Gulstan. There are many other instances of this behaviour. The ex VP; the New Visionaries members; staff in Pan Trinbago’s office and elected regional officers are just some examples of others who have had the same experience. They are constantly attacked and demonized by the president of Pan Trinbago. Other officers have, at one time or another, advised against this behaviour but it seems to be working for him because there are still some that are too afraid to do anything about the bullying. The fact that the president creates this fear throughout our membership should be a primary reason for band leaders to sign the petition.
We would at some time have heard that it is a natural human behaviour, a protective mechanism, which causes the fight or flight reaction to danger. However, be assured that running away from the bullying would only be a temporary fix. Band leaders must stand and say enough is enough. Disagreeing with one another’s opinions is healthy for the growth of any organization. Actually, a group of people was elected so we could all contribute different perspectives on any matter. We need leaders who are accommodating and respectful towards the opinions of others.
Sometimes we need a hand to hold; the presence of our brethren; reassuring words from our leader or group, knowing that they ‘have our back’. Individual members of the group, CIP, were called recently and threatened by the President. It was an attempt to intimidate us. The lawyers in our group assured us that they ‘have our back’ as the fight continues. I am saying to all bands that the group, Concerned Individuals for Pan has your back. Join with us, sign the petition; let us overcome the evil that plagues our movement and remember that PAN EVIL PROSPERS WHEN GOOD PAN MEN DO NOTHING.

Maybe the time has come to fight fire with fire!!! I don't see how ONE OLD SAN JUAN BAD JOHN could hold 10,000 people and a MINISTER OF CULTURE hostage.
Arthur: VICTORY for the CIP means RECYCLING the same group of alligators who live in the PAN TRINBAGO SWAMP. (Look at your new MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA for the CIP -- for example!!!) So how does the betterment of PAN in T&T figure in that?
Plus, talk all they talk and twist all the arms they could -- KEITH DIAZ still has the support of the small bands. And don't forget that with all the crime this government promote the over the decades -- crime is a tool in the Keith Diaz arsenal. So until they decide to go MANO a MANO with Keith Diaz -- dey done loss!!!

Claude...since the Panorama dust has settled, and by the above statement we start back hearing "Vote for me, and I'll set you free"...and from a differently-named group...The problem is ..."vote for who?"...Dane and Lindsay done say they don't wan't to hold office...Nothing wrong with that. But who is to be the "strongman"?...Who is the new "Diaz" even?...Because steelband politics has always been dictatorial, which, by the way has been he real reason for most of our problems over the years...But who man?!!...Who?!!

Dane is a smooth politician. He likes to perform internationally. So you do the groundwork help elect the new president and then you expand the international marketing from the PAN TRINBAGO offices and as all the new requests for performances come in (from around the world) Dane gets the choice jobs ... VOTE FOR ME AND I WILL SET YOU FREE. Very polished play.
And just between you and me, MARKETING PAN PERFORMANCES from a PAN TRINBAGO HEADQUARTERS BASE is something that I have always seen as a HIGH PRIORITY with rich rewards. Actually, I could sit down right where I am with my LAPTOP and join the marketing crew.
But I don't think that "GLOBAL NETWORKING" reach dem fellahs vocabulary as yet!!!
As much as I am a critic, I know that there is BIG GLOBAL DEMAND for steelband performances. If I ever get the rights to produce a GREATEST HITS PANORAMA CD, I feel confident that I could sell enough copies to send some money back to Trinidad and to have enough money to go back to the studio to expand on the project in many ways.
MARKETING THE MUSIC has always my vision. Andy Narell and Our Boys sold over a 100,000 copies of the two OUR BOYS CDs -- and I know that I have a better vision for marketing the music than those two CDs and I have access to real high level YANKEE music producers.
Did I say that? I hope dem fellahs doh call meh bluff. LOL!!!
