I am associated (as a vendor) with a national restaurant company Bahama Breeze Island Grille that offers the opportunity for steel pan players with backing tracks to perform at their numerous locations throughout the United States. I would venture to say that it is probably one of the few businesses in the US that has an opportunity like this on a consistent basis, year after year. My business handles the scheduling and payment to the musicians that perform their services there. We have some outstanding pan players, guitarists and keyboardists, all solos, that play Caribbean styled selections for the guests at the restaurants, many have been with us for over 15 years! I can attest to the enjoyment a person receives when they visit one of the locations and is surprised to see and hear the steel pan, the magical instrument. It sweeps them away to the islands in an instant!
