Pan Fantasy's 4th Consecutive

Pan Fantasy is celebrating its 4th consecutive victory in the Pan Alive competition of the Ontario Steelpan Association.

A total of 10 bands participated in Friday's competition, which was attended by Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Toronto Mayor John Tory.

Pan Fantasy - winner in 2012, 2013 and 2014 - captured its fourth title by amassing 272 points with a rendition of Destra's Lucy. The rest of the results is:

2nd: Afropan - 262 points

3rd: Salah's Steelpan Academy - 257 points

4th: Panatics Steelband Network - 251 points

5th: JK Pan Vibrations - 235 points

6th: Silhouettes - 227.5 points

7th: Panmasters - 226 points

8th: CCAH Steel Orchestra - 214 points

9th: St Jamestown Youth Orchestra - 202 points

10th: Symphonyx Steel Orchestra - 172.5 points

Congrats to all the competing bands but a special mention goes out to Pan Fantasy and Salah's Steelpan Academy as they will be representing Canada at the ICP 2015. I'm in Trinidad already hoping to meet you all to express my best wishes in person.
