  • If "Steel-band Month" is held in August, shouldn't Steelband's Primary festival be it's climax, if "Steelband Month" means anything?

    I'm just asking.......

    • That calls for logic planning and foresight.

      good luck

  • Thanks Pan Times,

I was not aware of Pan Trinbago's August 10th 2012 Pan Awards Function. I do hope that my 2009 suggestion will be realized in 2012. Mr. Rupert Phillip is a percussionist and is the only one that has performed at all 50 Panorama preliminaries and 45 of the 49 Panorama Finals. Mr. Dennis "Tash" Ash is the only Pannist that has performed at 43 of the 49 Panorama Finals. Both are members of Desperadoes Steel Orchestra. I will put in a plug for Mr. Kenneth Clake. If that name is is not familiar to you, then you should remember the little boy who stood on a box when playing for the famed North Stars Steel Orchestra. He was the youngest pannist at 10 years to tour with a Steel Orchestra in the early 1960's.
