Aquil Arrindell, the man who quit his job as education officer of Pan Trinbago on Friday, said the organisation was crying out for change to ensure greater accountability and transparency.

“There is need for change.

There is need for policies to deal with day to day office matters,” he told Sunday Newsday.

Arrindell, who has served on the Keith Diaz-led executive for the past two years, claimed there was no set policy within the organisation to address expenditure.

  • Pan People let’s all get together and call out Mr, Beresford Hunte former manager, leader, and visionary of Tdad All Stars to come out of retirement and take over as interim leader. Mr Hunte farther was one of the first president of pan trinbago so he has complete understanding and has his pulse on the instrument and the players for quite sometime In addition I have no doubt after evaluating what Berry has done with Tdad All Stars over his 20 years as leader, manager he posses the skill to lead pan trinbago through these rough seas I look forward to hearing from regulars on this forum. Berry for president !!! Like Obama there has NEVER been any accusation of CORRUPTION tossed at him or any conflict of intrest accusation

    • Good try, Daniel!!! But people have been angling for a power grab for years now and they are certainly NOT going to hand over that power to Mr. Beresford Hunte, as deserving as he might be!!!

  • This has been going on since last year Had these men any morals at all they would have left and voted in a new executive. Be careful people THE PEOPLE HAVE LOST THE CARNIVAL TO A SELECT FEW do not GIVE THE PAN TO THOSE PEOPLE who have RUINED the  carnival for us all. The executive must do the right thing and call an extraordinary meeting and choose a new board.

    • Sarah-Ann, I would love to hear more about "the people who have ruined the carnival for us all" please tell us more.

    • Sarah-Ann, I totally agree with you.  If any one from the Executive, who have now resigned, were concerned about pan and pan men, they would not have let this go on so the fact that they are resigning one by one shows that they are just deserting a sinking ship.  Why didn't anyone report all this fraudulent activity before and ensure that more than one person on the Executive has signatory rights?  Can you imagine .. the Government/NCC/Minister of Culture has given Pan Trinbago funds to pay the pan men and all they are getting are bounced cheques?  A totally shambles.

  • To Bugs, Hinkson, Ben Lopez, Patrick, Claude Gonzales and others, I truly apologise for not being able to make a difference but I have been reading your concerns. Though I may not always agree with your comments, I have always had utmost respect for your views. My silence on social media is as a result of a decision taken that all public utterances must come from the Public Relations Officer with whose point of view I have not always agreed with. We all would agree that Pan Trinbago needs change, fresh ideas and people with integrity. It is a popular view that this could only be done with new faces on the landscape of pan. I thought that with the other members of the executive who shared the same values and vision, that I had the ability and the capacity to affect those changes. However, I believe that God knows best and His time is always the right time.

    • Thank you, I agree we have to wait 'till the proverbial"shit" hits the fan. We must get serious and skip the bachanal.
    • Good Afternoon Aquil

It is good to hear from you.

I have a thousand questions for you - but they will have to wait.

How bad is the Junior Panorama situation? And will there be a 2017 Junior Panorama?

      bugs

      • Mr. Arrindell: I really appreciate you taking the time to come on the forum and make a statement. I think that WST should give you a FULL-FLEDGED interview. A lot of what is said on this forum may cross lines or come across the wrong way or often a straight case of lack of current information.

But there was a mostly common baseline agenda which was to bring more TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY to PAN TRINBAGO -- and leadership with a more GLOBAL VISION. Above all, my personal agenda has been and always be GOOD PAN MUSIC FOR THE GLOBAL MARKET.

Beyond that, the institution itself must take steps to reach out to the GLOBE on many levels. That is my third level of concern. Don't you think that there should be a PLATFORM like WST originating from PAN TRINBAGO and reaching out to the over 400,000 TRINIDADIANS around the world as a core marketing constituency.

Thanks for your comments. And feel free to come back and share your thoughts from time to time.

And doh give that fellah bugs all the good juicy scores and leave me and Cecil and odw out!!!

        • lol. Anyone can call me anytime.
