Pan Trinbago preparing for disappointment

http://i955fm.com/ Pantrinbago President, Beverly Ramsey Moore

Pan Trinbago is preparing itself for some disappointment because not all bands will be able to participate in upcoming Panorama competitions.

President of the pan body Beverly Ramsey Moore says many pan men and women are not vaccinated and will not be able to join their bands this year.

Carnival 2022 organisers are insisting only the vaccinated can attend and participate in competitions.

All locations will be safe zones.

Mrs. Ramsey Moore says that will pose a problem for some bands, including hers.

Mrs. Ramsey Moore is hopeful but the realities may work against her band and others.

She says at the end of today there will be a clearer picture as to how many bands can compete.

      Sir Claudius:

Sometimes the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.  But, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Pan Trinbago, the World Governing Body for Pan, decided NOT to hold their constitutionally-mandated elections in 2021, supposedly because of the still ever-present Covid19 pandemic. So, how does it seem feasible that there will be (can be!) carnival in 2022? Ok ok! A taste!!

While some are of the view that we have to learn to live with Covid19, a disheartening number have learnt to die from it, and many more are dying (and go die) because of it. Who de hell cares?

It doh matter if de $15 or $20 million-budget venture creates a loss - and it will.    An' no body go know!!

But some go make moolah.  Dey always do.

Remember, Sir: We in the pan mecca (soucouyants included) has-is to eat ah food!  ;-)

Several days ago, ah open de papers and ah read (and I encapsulate): "Only vaccinated patrons and performers will be able to experience a "Taste of Carnival", featuring creativity, adaptability, and sustainability, as Trinidad and Tobago celebrates its culture and freedom."

As a born Trini, who by the way, eh come on no boat, doesn't that make your bosom, ... ok ok, yuh chest swell with pride, main?  My chess bussing.

Cheupssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ........................  It's a sour taste, my San Brunian Bruddah.

BTW, if yuh come dong to get a lil 'Taste', be forewarned - yuh cud get a 6- or a 9-pod. But not a 69 ... unless it's a VAT.   :-)

No need to put yuh hand in the air and wave.
