Members of the Media, Officers of the Association, the C.E.O. and staff of F.C.L., please accept a sincere expression of gratitude for the fantastic coverage that Pan
Trinbago has been receiving.
A certain media person once told me when good things happen we feel a sense of obligation to share the good news with our readership.
Ladies and gentlemen, when the Steelband Panorama was conceptualized, it opened a door for a sort of grassroots sophistication to enter.
Even in those early years Steelbands being subject to a dynamic environment sought to reach for the stars.
Both tuners and arrangers felt an urge to respond to the powerful call of an urgency and an excitement which compelled musical excellence.
The competition in its present format, where the dictates of an affluent society have seen innovativeness and commercialization, coming together to cater to tastes that transcend the social order.
The Association having a good appreciation of the work done by the media, has sought to do.
National Steelband Panorama 2015 will follow the trend as set a few years ago – that is, a definite push towards branding and improvement in the colour of the event.
The Panorama event caters by seating or standing as the case may be, to the young and middle aged on the North Greens more popularly known as “The Greens”, to
the middle aged in the North Stand and to purists of any age in the Grand Stand.
The Drag though not a direct revenue earner, is a very critical intrinsic. Panorama without the drag around will be an event bereft of a certain kind of atmosphere.
The drag presents a very important sounding board for the bands while they ‘warm up’ before proceeding to the stage.
The Semi Finals of the competition is conducted over two days – Saturday and Sunday.
The Sunday segment – the Semi Finals, holds pride of place. On that day, the Medium and Large bands vie for a place in the Finals.
Let us look at the Event of the Sunday – on that day, the Greens, The North and Grand Stands are filled with excited pan lovers.
Next year – 2015, there will be some changes to the Greens in that, the concept has been tweaked a bit.
The North Greens was designed to enhance the comfort of stakeholders. It features a circular design which reflects the circle of music in this that the artistic layout
demonstrates the face of a tenor pan.
It is designed, further to meet the needs of the larger groups – posses, at the outer perimeter and to accommodate the smaller groups at the centre.
There is a special area – The President’s Promotional Zone, where corporate clients are invited to promote their goods and services.
The Food Court will now be called ‘The Refreshment Zone’. It will be elevated to give patrons an enjoyable experience.
The North Stand and Grand Stand will retain their ambiance and character.
The final Night of Panorama will see the North Stand featuring a special offering.
For the special ticket which will cost $450.00, the holder will have access to an All – Inclusive experience, where a Premium Bar and Favorite Party Foods will be had.
There would also be large screens to enhance the patrons viewing experience.
Pan Trinbago will continue to increase the value of our product by further enhancing their participation in the audience of the event in the Grand Stand. There will be
Special Reserved Tickets at $750.00 each. General Admission will be $500.00.
Welcome drinks and chocolates will be offered to the first one thousand patrons in the Grand Stand.
