Panorama Update - C News

Pantrinbago's acting president is hopeful that following this Tuesday's meeting with pan men, the 2017 Panorama competition will start on Friday. Two days later than originally planned.

Cnews spoke with Acting President Richard Forteau this afternoon who said Pantrinbago is ready to move forward with the Panorama and all preparations are in place to do so. He's just waiting on clearance from the membership.

The pan men have been protesting for monies owed to them. Some of those cheques we're told were distributed late last week. And Mr. Forteau took the opportunity to rubbish claims on social media that the pan men's cheques were bouncing.

He said Panorama must go on.

Meanwhile, Pantrinbago President Keith Diaz who's come under fire from the pan men calling for him to step down is out of the hospital. We're told Mr. Diaz was discharged from St. Clair Medical on Sunday and is in good spirits but will be away from his post at least a month on doctors' orders.

This weekend's meeting with the pan men was pushed to Tuesday as result of Mr. Diaz' hospitalisation.
