In the wee hours of the morning during Carnival week, when the visiting crowds thinned out and only a core of Phase II supporters would be left and the band would "hit it", sometimes on the last run for the night. You would be there. The players would be in sync and the supporters would know they were hearing a magic that might never be heard again that year, even on Panorama night. You would be there and I would be there too, along with a handful of others. You and I didn't really talk much but knew each other as Phase II supporters. On a CAL flight when I saw you, you would smile and recognize me as a Phase II supporter and I would remember the magic of the panyard. Little did I know in 2019 that it would be your last season. Your memory will live on in the panyard and I will listen to a Phase II performance later today in your honour. I encourage others to do the same. RIP Nikki.
Nice memory. May she Rest in Peace.
