My goodness! What a year! We have lost so many almost in one swoop.

On behalf of the Steelpan Initiatives Project (SIP) at the University of the West Indies, may I also extend condolences to the family and friends of Ralph MacDonald. He was truly a great musician who influenced the music minded in the steel pan fraternity and beyond. May God bless his soul

This great man would light-up a song like fireworks on the 4th of July! He caused me to sit up and pay attention to the beauty of percussion in contemporary music. Rest In Power Mr. Mac...

This is the 2nd strike for me in one day - here in The Bahamas Canon Neal Roach and Anglican priest with roots in T&T passed just short of his 80th Birthday and now Ralph MacDonald - may their souls rest in peace and may they both continue to make sweet music in the heavens.

So sorry to hear of the passing of such a gerat man he would be greatly missed and i have to agree with Brian Copeland this have been a reaay sad year for all of us so many of our greats have passed on to the great beyond.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ralph MacDonald. I knew him and enjoyed his music and his great conv ersations. He will be surely missed.The music world has lost another one of the greats. God bless him and his family and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Condolences to Mr. McDonald's family and friends, truly he was one of a-kind in the arena of percussion music.  May his soul rest in peace. 

May the greatness of Ralph lives on for ever RIP my brother.

My condolences to the family and friends of Ralph.He assisted Solo Pan Knights in the rhythm section on many occasions. Truly a "nice" person .An exceptional percussionist. May his soul rest in peace
