Beverly Ramsey-Moore became the 17th President and the first female to hold this position in Pan Trinbago’s seventy-two year history.

The Black Rock, Tobago-born manager of Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra emerged victorious following the triennial election of officers convened at the Mucurapo East Secondary School, St. James, on Sunday October 28.

Mrs. Ramsey-Moore’s victory set the tone with her slate “Team Rebuild” elected to nine of the ten positions contested.

Seventy-three persons of which eight vied for President offered themselves in one of the most anticipated elections in the annals of the steelpan organization.

Overseeing the election process were personnel from the Elections & Boundaries Commission.

The almost-ten-hour-long exercise began at 10:00 a.m. with the registration of delegates and attracted a record turnout of bands/representatives.
