Aldwyn Roberts HBM DA, better known by the stage name Lord Kitchener, was an internationally known Trinidadian calypsonian. He has been described as "the grand master of calypso" and "the greatest calypsonian of the post-war age".

Aldwyn Roberts the boy from Arima got plenty freedom in Trinidad.He made himself even a Lord. A title he never got in England, even though during wartime he was living there and at least participated on stage to fight the Germans. When the war was over he went back to sweet little Trinidad and was not fighting the Germans anymore, but for a better life becoming a celebraty on his home island. Even though he was fighting Hitler so much his birthday on 18.April is close to Hitlers birthday which will be on 20.April. However, wearing a big hat Aldwyn wont be forgotten. I often have the impression that even Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria liked this particular outfit, because he was also wearing this kind of perculiar hat when he was president.
