Patrick Thomas my Friend the modest Genius recently passed away in Queens, New York.As Manager of Savoys , Patrick successfully negotiated the band's sponsorship by Chase Manhattan Bank.His mission was to guide youths in the right direction.. To this end,he organised the first Soccer League in Laventille, and spear headed the project to build a Community Center in the Mang (mangrove).Patrick designed a vehicle to transport both the players and the instruments at the same time,making Savoys one of the first Steel bands to have its own transport. Patrick received several awards from the Government of T and T for his relentless commitment to Community. He will be dearly missed. RIP my friend.

And you guys played the MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR in a festival one time. I can tell you a simple memory of that in another post. This is not the right place!!!
I know exactly what you are speaking about Sir.. I arranged all the music for Savoys and I was a teenager, at the time. The Adjudicator said we chased the Merry Wives around Windsor..Take care.Martin Albino
