My comments may be offensive to many,,but let the truth prevail,,i,m on this website When Steel Talks to express my feelings in  a possitive way with no gimmicks or running around,or bobbing and weaving,,,the subject matter  and point of importance relevant to the steelpan,,,it,s members,,players,,tuners,,arrangers,,ought to be of priority and be mentioned constantly,,in order to get the message out to those that are pretending that they aren,t aware of the suffering  and injustice meted out to all involved,,should one take a look at the representation and or support ,,to the point,,indulged upon by many of us on this website ,,there is a vivid picture of negativety portrayed,,,,and corresponding those that has and are still digging into the truth in order to get a good result for the benefit of all involved in the steelband///steelpan worldspecifically  you those of T&T the birth place of ythe steelpan  and others that have migrated,,,has adopted and those that are suffering  the injustice and neglect maybe willfullfully or it,s a case of disinterest,,,to the point i do think that with dedication and holding one head,,one direction,,not deviating from the truth which is the injustice not being eradicated towards the active members of the steelpan,,sacrifices being made by all,ought to be effectively supported by us all,,with constant indulgence of discussions relavant to the future of those presently involved,,,,whenever the benefits are being had and requirements are met ,,then i do think it,s the time for us all to reflect towards the olden times and what was sweet ,,even though it,s a good idea to move away from the present daty issue for the sake of exchanging views,,,but to be constantly running away from the fact which is specifically speaking  the dissatisfaction,, negligence,,suffering and to crown it all,,there aren,t enough empty drums for the tuners to continue their livehood,,,,NO ONE  HAS MENTIONED   THE SHORTAGE  OF DRUMS  FOR  THE  SUFFERING  STEELPAN  TUNERS  OF  T&T,TO  DATE,,,WHAT ARE  WE DOING  TO  OUR   brothers that happens to be in need of an honest bread,, i could be wrong,,maybe someone has commented ,,,nevertheles,when would we ever learn,,,when would we be mature ,,conscious,,upright and be effective in our positive doings for the benefit of the steelpan,,whenever i,m no longer in this world then and only then i,ll stop the representation in a verbial or written manner for all steelpan  players,,,members,,arrangers,,tuners and supporters,,,to the point,,,the truth,,i am always open to redicule and corrections,,,GOD  BLESS>>

Tuners should always have a stock of finished instruments so when a band place there order they just deliver. They should have about 3 or 4 suppliers of drums so that they don't  have to face a situation like the present. It is the tuner responsibility to always have what he produces. Tuners should get investors and control the manufacturing of the Pan.

Good point Cecil, I also believe it is time for some builders to build pans using sheet metal instead of oil drums, which were never intended to be used as musical instruments. I understand the G-Pan is made this way though I could be wrong.

GP if pan has to be mass produce this would be the best way of doing it. This way you could  a tenor pan ready for the tuner in 30 min.
