Richard Forteau states that the extraordinary meeting facilitated by Keith Diaz and Aquil Arrindell and Gregory Lindsay was illegal. So he is suing Keith Diaz and Gerard Mendez and Marie Toby.
Richard Forteau is asking for financial compensation and orders deeming the meeting unlawful. He is also seeking immediate reinstatement, as well as an injunction stopping decisions taken at the meeting from taking effect until the lawsuit is determined.
Richard Forteau states that the Pan Trinbago constitution requires that the secretary facilitate such meetings but he was excluded. And he questioned the validity of the quorum of members to requisition the meeting. Since only 85 bands were represented in the requisition sent to Diaz last month. And from his analysis some of the signatures on the requisition were of two delegates from the same band, which is illegal as each band is allotted one vote.
Finally, Richard Forteau claims that his ouster from the executive was initiated by Diaz after the executive questioned several decisions he allegedly made in relation to tickets for this year’s Panorama. In other words: TICKET SCAMMING!!!
It would seem that THE CIP (Aquil, Gregory and Oswald) did a little scamming themselves with the signatures on that PETITION. But that will be for Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh to decide.
Stay tuned for further updates after Wednesday's hearing. But we all know how slowly the wheels of justice roll in T&T and how political positioning could well take this case into 2020. However, I can assure that THERE WILL BE A PANORAMA 2019!!!
