I was reading a Guyanese newspaper recently and I saw a statement that was bouncing around in my head for the last few years. The writer said: "Today, Guyana is exactly where TRINIDAD was 40 years ago."

And all I could think was I hope that GUYANA does not end up 40 years later (2060) where TRINIDAD is today; especially where PAN PROGRESS is concerned.

The first approach they need in their PAN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM is to make it ALL INCLUSIVE: Black, Indian, Amerindian, White, Portugese, Mixed, Toot Bagai!!! And that goes for the STEELBAND MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION and the BUSINESS WORLD.

I see a STEELBAND HEADQUARTERS that includes PAN PRODUCTION, MUSIC ACADEMY, CONCERT HALL, RECORDING STUDIO, PAN R&D CENTER, PAN SYNTHESIZER LAB, and a STOREFRONT.

THE TRINIDAD GOVERNMENT has spent over A BILLION DOLLARS on PAN since 1956 this is all we have to show for it -- this EYESORE along with a MOUNTAIN OF DEBT. I hope GUYANA does THE RIGHT THING FOR PAN PROGRESS in THE CARIBBEAN.

You right on target.   Now let's see if Guyana will understand.

I was just reading about the comments Tobago ppl made about the govt not treating them right.  Barataria saying same ting so UNC seat  win by 1000 votes. All over TNT ppl fed up.  Only 60+% ppl even bothered to vote. So much party politics going on for so many years and neither one addressing the agenda you telling dem ppl in Guyana to follow.  You tink they go listen?

I was here for this 40years and ah sure ah won't be here to see the next 40.... but ah hope SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING.
