St. Lucia, W.I. - With an innovative stride towards enhancing cultural appreciation among the youth, the Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology in Saint Lucia has successfully obtained funding from UNESCO for a pivotal project aimed at fostering the development and expansion of steel pan music in schools. This initiative, titled "Developing and Expanding Steel Pan in schools in Saint Lucia," falls under the UNESCO Participation Programme 2022/2023 and marks a significant step in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage through youth engagement.
