SCAMMER ALERT!!!.

I received notification from a member, Frank Kwabena that said he needed to contact me and he provided me an email address. I did not reply to it, but did research his name and found he is a scammer that can steal information. I wanted to alert all other members in case you receive a similar message

  • Most of social network has been hacked in one way or another and it is only a matter of time that WST is too. I get emails all the time from strange women and men who say they viewed my profile on Facebook or Instagram and would like me to contact them on the email provided so they can send me pictures or chat with me.  It is always names you cannot pronounce or the spelling is so bad you know the origin is not an English speaking person or they know very little English. The advice is to just delete it if you didn't ask for it do not open it. If your email is set to preview you can see who sent it and the contents but do not open it or reply to it.

  • Actually , on the subject of scams , somehow they hijack people's email lists and send them these messages to their friends

. Recently I got a message from a veteran panist asking for help ,saying he was stuck in the Ukraine , and needed financial assistance.

I do not know him personally but he is a  veteran panist from Solo Harmonites, and well known.

I do not want to mention his name , but I hope that he can be alerted about this

I did not respond since I was sure it was not from him , since I believe that his FaceBook account was hacked.

I did not contact him since I wasn't sure if i could get to him instead of the scammer, but if anyone else received a such a plea ,  maybe we should do something.
