Music Ensemble night for Three Rivers Schools
Musical pupils from three schools joined forces for a performance at the end of last month.
Ensembles from Morpeth’s Chantry and Newminster Middle Schools were joined by the King Edward VI High School Jazz band on Wednesday, April 27, for an ensemble evening.The pupils are all part of the Three Rivers Schools.
The audience was treated to performances from the joint middle schools jazz band, ceilidh band, samba band, guitar ensembles and steel pan bands.
And there was a guest performance from the KEVI Community Jazz Band with a finale of the Joint Three Rivers Jazz Band playing their version of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’.
With music from steel pans, to drums, woodwind, brass and more, the night was hailed a huge success for all those involved.
Charlotte Jones, Curriculum Leader of Creative Arts at Chantry and Newminster Middle Schools, said: “The night was a fantastic showcase of the wonderful musicians who are pupils at our Three Rivers Schools and members of the Morpeth community.
