Trinidad - Putting their musical prowess on display at the Queen’s Park Savannah also known as “The Big Yard,” twenty-one small steel orchestras grace that stage in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on Saturday February 15 for the semi-final phase of competition in the country’s 2014 National Panorama competition.
In the eyes and ears of the respective panels of judges, the group represent the best of the small steel orchestras after a four-phase, four-region (East, North, South/Central and Tobago) preliminary round, leaving twenty-eight of their fellow competitors in the proverbial dust. Defending small steelband champs Arima Golden Symphony perform in position number seventeen at the semis.
Their performances are combined with those of thirty-two single pan bands, which are also in contention for places in the finals in their respective category of competition.
Following is the appearance order for the small steel orchestras. http://j.mp/NCZ1UO
