As I got my self ready to enjoy the sweet steel pan music, got everything I had to do out the way out made sure my surround sound was at a good level to enjoy the bass lines and I can get the feel that I am there live to my disappointment it didn't happen that way.
The audio coming from the feed of ctv was so high I had the volume from their player at about 2 percent and it was still distortion telling me they had the level on their mixer maxed I thought as the show went on it will be fixed but it seem like they just set it and say take that and be happy we giving you something to see. Audio from the radio was much more clean. I had to take the volume off from the video and have the radio volume up.

Will there be videos of the large bands at finals?
Keep watching posts from WST. Usually videos show up, some already have.
2017 PanoramaLive SEMI/ Desperadoes /4K
odw, this is one sick piece of music and the players execution was awesome.
I do hope they change something in the following years. A "show" lasting from 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday and not finishing until 3:15 Monday morning is not repeat NOT good business.
These days the normal attention span of humans is not very long.
Having a semi final with 30 small bands is utter crap. This is not to say that participating bands are not worth a spot, on the contrary, they are just as deserving. However the show cannot continue with its current format. It's far too long.
The media coverage from T & T reflected this problem. CTV cut their show, 91.1 Talk Radio coverage was good but not brilliant. As usual the announcers were not well informed.
58 Bands in total? Give me a break!
14 Small bands
14 Medium
and 14 Large
42 bands maximum.
Better organisation in the logistics needed.
And for world-wide consumption a dedicated online coverage even on pay-per-view would go along long way to raising some cash.
Please Trinbago wakeup and smell the coffee. don't be so parochial.
Imagine 6:15 a.m., 3 hours after competition finish , still no results.
Come on! WHY COULD THESE NOT HAVE BEEN RELEASED AS THE SEGMENTS FINISHED?
Something must change.
I have been saying that those idiots back home are just totally incompetent when it comes to technology. At least those who are tasked with doing the job. I'm sure there are others who are more savvy but the are probably signed up to the wrong political party.
If steelband and panorama were from Jamaica we'd be getting it on every outlet available.
Cunumunu!
I would pay to have good matching sound and video. I watched the video and listened to 91.1 because the sound with the video was so terrible. But the volume from 91.1 was so low I had to strain to hear it. And of course there is a significant delay between sound and video so the actions didn't match the sound. Better than nothing, and I am grateful to see and hear anything, but would love to have better quality. I also missed the conversation, analysis and discussion with arrangers that has happened between bands in the past. Plus the length, I don't know what they were thinking by having 58 bands in one show.
it is time that Max Cuffie get up off his tail and do something about CNMG and GISL....they need to upgrade all their equipment...it looked like they just scrambled a set right before the Panorama started....like their was no actual planning....the outside world would have second thoughts about going to Trini...the online stream midway through the broadcast the audio and video was not matching, the video was was an hour or two behind the audio....
