Now I am assuming that SKIFFLE will make it in, but I have my doubts -- the other four bands are a foregone conclusion. Since we have 25,000 WST members (-1) who are PAN AFICIONADOS, somebody is sure to have that answer.

As a CALYPSO LOVER, I find this whole aberration SIMPLY FASCINATING. Each arranger listens to the same song and interprets it in a different way -- as opposed to ONE VERSION of the song and you swallow that. And because GOOD MORNING has so many musical and lyrical hooks, you just don't know what the band will choose to emphasize. (Like EXODUS essentially opening with the PRIMARY VOCAL HOOK.)

It reminds me of the OLD DAYS when you used to go to fetes with the BRASS BANDS and each band would play that SAME POPULAR CALYPSO  with its own unique slant. That to me was always the height of Carnival.

With the keyboard at your fingertips and easy instant access to each version of GOOD MORNING, it makes you tempted to really make a study of the varied renditions. But you have to REALLY LOVE PAN MUSIC to do that.

So somebody: Please tell ARTHUR TRAVERSO who the PANORAMA JUDGES are and what is their musical and PAN background; and please tell me when last there were FIVE BANDS playing the same song in the PANORAMA FINALS.
