Under a cool evening’s sky, pan lovers were treated to a variety of scintillating pan arrangements ranging from the soca classics of Super Blue’s “Get Something and Wave” to Machel Montano’s 2016 offering “Temperature” as ten single pan steel bands took part in Pan Trinbago’s South Central region’s National Panorama Prelims 2016 at Skinner Park, San Fernando, on Saturday.

The competition started smoothly at just after 8 pm to a small but appreciative audience which applauded lustily following each performance.

The steelbands, which performed on the cycle track in front of the judges’ table, at the park’s main stand, were permitted to perform with a maximum of 35 players and a minimum of 25 players.
