PRESS RELEASE – The St Lucia National Steel Bands Association (SLNSA) held its election for a new committee on Saturday June 11th 2016.
The new committee was elected to serve for two years 2016 -2018. The members of the new executive of the SLNSA comprises of ten persons, President – Sydwina Alexander, Vice President – Lucius Alexander, Secretary – Krystal Nestor, Assistant Secretary – Stacy Chicot, Treasurer – Mynell Lovence, Assistant Treasurer – Perline Mathurin, P.R.O. – Antonia Justin, Assistant P.R.O – Julian Calderon, Trustees – Quill Barthelmy and Andre Emmanuel.
The Executive Committee is responsible for managing the implementation of the programs of the SLNSA including, to promote the development of the steel pan artform in St Lucia and to represent the interest of the membership.
The Association is currently in advanced stages of preparation to contribute to the National Carnival program for 2016 with its main event, the National Panorama Competition and collaborative events with other carnival stakeholders.
The Executive committee extends its thanks to the general membership of the SLNSA, and an invitation to groups and other categories of members to contribute to the mission of the fraternity.
