"Starlift Steel Orchestra has been rebranded as the Proman Starlift Steel Orchestra on the backdrop of its 65th anniversary as a stalwart steelband in TT.
In a media release on Thursday, Proman said the transition was within its portfolio in local sustainable investments which was also in alignment with its long-term commitments.
For the past six years, Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Ltd (MHTL), which is also a part of the Proman Group, has been the band’s primary sponsor."

Now let me comment on the sponsor's name. I admit I had not been following that company. So. Can you tell me how did those corporate ppl get together in a meeting and come up with a name like "proman" before I rant off at the distaste. I am waiting for the pan world to explain to me.
I may not be in the bigwigs of pan but nevertheless I read this website more than a couple thousands of them.

This is THE GREATEST RECORDING ANY STEELBAND has ever done in THE HISTORY OF THE STEELBAND MOVEMENT. Now, some of my best friends HATE RAY HOLMAN and they will criticize me for PRAISING RAY HOLMAN this highly because they see him as TOO EGOTISTICAL and HAUGHTY ... but I am TALKING ABOUT MUSIC PRODUCTION ... and this THE GREATEST RECORDED PIECE OF PAN MUSIC.
And you all MUST REMEMBER that I AM A REAL TRINIDADIAN ... I eh come ON NO BOAT.
