Steel pans presented to Berbice High School

The Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport today handed over two sets of steel bands to the Berbice High School and President’s College. A release from the Ministry of Education said that Andrew Tyndalle from the National Dance School explained that this programme has been ongoing for the last four years.

Through the programmes offered by the Music School, over 700 students have been trained in the steel pan art form. Minister within the Ministry of Education, Nicolette Henry lauded the work of the music school. It is her hope that this programme will be continuous.
