THE body of Japanese murder victim Asami Nagakiya was flown back home on Saturday and is expected to arrive sometime today, according to an official at the Japanese Embassy yesterday.
The cost to have her flown back was shared between her relatives in Japan and her friends from the pan fraternity in Trinidad.
Her body left Trinidad soil aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight.

"The cost to have her flown back was shared between her relatives in Japan and her friends from the pan fraternity in Trinidad." Good grief!
Surely to God PANTRINBAGO & THE CARNIVAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE should have borne ALL costs!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE. This is a SHAME ON YOU TRINIDAD.to have her relatives and friends pay for her body to be returned to Japan!!!.
I can give you ONE ASSURANCE!!! If KAMLA and the PP were in power they would have paid ALL EXPENSES for the return of the body!!!
what in the dark will come to light stay calm.
Rest In Peace. Asami! We'll always remember you!
Shame on Trinidad &Tobago where are the cameras. They need to install more working cameras for situations like this.
