By BBN Staff: This morning Diane Haylock Co- Chairperson of the National Celebrations Commission (NCC) of the National Institute of History and Culture (NICH) received a cheque for $40,000 from Ambassador of the Republic of China Taiwan to Belize HE Benjamin Ho.
The fund is expected to finance the Carnival King and Queen Competition and Pan Yaad Steelband Concert as Belize celebrates its 35th Independence Anniversary and the 218th anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye.
