Why do some musicians develop a thriving career in the business while others struggle to even get noticed? It has a lot to do with talent, content and perseverance says grammy award winning songwriter Angela Hunte.
This is the era of internet music entrepreneurs who are uploading videos and building audiences from inside the comfort of their homes, Hunte said, adding that, “locals who want to succeed have to adapt but also stay true to who they are.”
Hunte, who was born in the US, grew up in Barataria, Trinidad and later returned to the United States, is a singer and famed writer for some of the biggest names in music including American artistes Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Britney Spears.
